COPY OF EXCEPTIONAL INTEREST with autograph dedication by the author to Milena Milani, celebrated Italian writer and artist: 'to Milena Milani / in the sun of Via Veneto / Vincenzo Cardarelli / Rome 13 February 1953 / Mamo', accompanied by a delightful little drawing of a seahorse (emblem of the series). The dedication, written a few days after publication, testifies to the relationship between two protagonists of the Roman cultural scene of the Fifties. Cardarelli (1887-1959), poet and prose writer among the greatest of the Italian twentieth century, founder of 'La Ronda', is here captured in a moment of affectionate familiarity. Dust jacket with normal wear, interior in good condition. Precious document for Italian literary history.
