First edition of the debut novel by the writer and journalist from Savona, central figure of the Venetian artistic scene of the post-war period. Publisher's wrappers with color illustrated cover by Renato Birolli, important exponent of the Corrente movement. Copy enriched by the author's autograph signature accompanied by a delicate floral pen drawing on the first blank leaf. Printed dedication 'This book is for TH'. Diffuse foxing and some moisture stains, cover with slight signs of use but substantially well preserved. Edizioni del Cavallino, founded by gallerist Carlo Cardazzo, represents one of the most refined editorial projects of twentieth-century Italian art, publishing texts by poets and writers with covers entrusted to major contemporary artists.
