Marie-Laure

Rare catalogue of the 355th Exhibition of the Galleria del Naviglio dedicated to Marie-Laure de Noailles, held in Milan from 31 March to 11 April 1962. The Viscountess de Noailles (1902-1970), celebrated patron of Surrealism who financed Buñuel's L'Âge d'or and Un Chien Andalou, was also a painter: this catalogue documents one of her rare solo exhibitions. Cover with photographic reproduction of an abstract work and signature in red. Printed by Elli & Pagani for the historic gallery of Carlo Cardazzo, a reference point for Fontana, Burri and Spatialism. Document of interest for the history of Surrealist patronage and for collectors of the Galleria del Naviglio.
