Large format, original publisher’s paperback binding in high-quality “Corolla Antique” paper from Cartiere Fedrigoni. Three-color plates printed using a special lithographic technique on 200 g/m² Fedrigoni ‘Tintoretto’ cardstock. Graphic design by Franko Benedetti, phototypes by Claudio Mondini. Copy in fair condition with signs of wear on the cover, scattered stains, and edge wear. Davide Lajolo (1912–1984), a Piedmontese partisan, journalist, and writer, was editor-in-chief of L’Unità and author of the famous biography of Pavese, *Il vizio assurdo*. This work, published in the year of his death, represents one of the author’s final literary works.
