Nerio Tebano Between Poetry and Painting

MARINI, Maurizio. Nerio Tebano Between Poetry and Painting. Rome: Edizioni Trifalco, [1980]. 8vo, editorial binding in impressed grey cloth. Volume no. 2 of the Trifalco Arte series curated by Gianni D'Andrea. Critical monograph dedicated to artist Nerio Tebano (Savona 1917 - Rome 2003), a significant figure in Italian painting of the late twentieth century, active between Liguria and Rome. Copy of particular interest for the double autograph dedication on the title page: the first in the hand of Nerio Tebano himself, addressed with affection to Milena Milani; the second dated Christmas 1980. Milena Milani (1917-2013) was a writer, poet and leading artist, protagonist of the Italian and international cultural scene, known for the novel 'The Girl Named Giulio' (1964) and for her long friendship with artists and intellectuals of the calibre of Fontana, Jorn and Baj. The association between the two artist-poets confers on this copy a documentary value that transcends mere bibliographic interest.
