Rare complete series of the journal Le Surréalisme, même, directed by André Breton and published by Jean-Jacques Pauvert in Paris between 1956 and 1959. Five issues in illustrated editorial wrappers, representing the last major publishing venture of the surrealist movement under the guidance of its founder. The cover of the first issue features the celebrated photograph by Hans Bellmer. The journal hosted contributions from Marcel Duchamp, Max Ernst, Roberto Matta, Toyen, Benjamin Péret, Michel Leiris and numerous other artists and writers from the Bretonian circle.
