"Le Mouvement"

Catalog of the kinetic art exhibition “Le Mouvement,” originally held in Paris in 1955 at the Galerie Denise René. The catalog pictured is a 1975 edition published to mark an anniversary of the exhibition. The exhibition is considered pivotal to the development of kinetic art. It features works by pioneering artists such as Agam, Bury, Calder, Duchamp, Jacobsen, Soto, Tinguely, and Vasarely. The 1975 edition also includes Victor Vasarely’s famous “Manifeste jaune” (Yellow Manifesto).
