Lamberto Londi and Alfred Hitchcock — A Critical Essay and Three Photographic Portraits

A three-page original typescript, signed by the critic Gian Maria Ferretto, written as an introductory text for the first solo exhibition by the Milanese photojournalist Lamberto Londi dedicated to Alfred Hitchcock. The document, dating from around 1990 (ten years after Hitchcock’s death in 1980), vividly recounts the meeting between Londi and the master of suspense that took place in the winter of 1975 in St. Moritz, at the Hotel Palace, and the subsequent professional relationship that lasted two years.
A document of interest to collectors of film memorabilia, the history of Italian photography, and Hitchcock scholars. It features handwritten corrections in pen that attest to its authenticity as a working draft.
Accompanying the document are three extraordinary vintage black-and-white photographic prints of Alfred Hitchcock.
