Joan Miró: Oils, Gouaches and Selected Graphics — Exhibition Invitation/Poster

Rare original poster-invitation for the exhibition 'Joan Miró: Oils, Gouaches and Selected Graphics' held at the Galleria Metastasio in Prato from February 20 to March 20, 1982. The recto presents a vibrant color lithographic reproduction of a work by Miró — a stylized figure with the characteristic visual vocabulary of the Catalan artist: biomorphic forms, stars, concentric circles and gestural sketches. In the lower right a pencil signature attributable to Miró is noted, an element that elevates this ephemeral document to a collectible piece. The verso reports the announcement of a lecture by Prof. Elvio Natali on the aesthetic intuitionism of Jacques Maritain. Document of considerable interest for collectors of Mironian graphics, Italian art ephemera and the history of Tuscan galleries of the late twentieth century. General condition good, with minimal patina of time.
