Volume no. 2 of the 'Copies Conformes' series, a series dedicated to ironic analysis of the mechanisms of success and fame in modern society. Romi, pseudonym of Robert Miquel (1905-1995), was a prolific historian of French curiosities, author of over fifty works on popular culture, from eroticism to gastronomy, from fashion to forgotten trades. Copy in good general condition, with normal patina of time. Work sought after by collectors of postwar French essays and modernist editorial graphics.
