Second number in the refined series 'Facsimiles of Autographs' directed by Giovanni Scheiwiller, printed by the Esperia Graphic Works on 25 October 1946. Publisher's wrappers with cover bearing title and author's name in facsimile of his autograph handwriting. Slight yellowing and scattered foxing to the cover, consistent with the quality of postwar paper. Prampolini (Milan 1898-1975), poet, critic and translator, was a central figure in Milanese literary culture and author of the monumental 'Universal History of Literature'. The Scheiwiller editions on Japan paper are today sought after by collectors for their rarity and typographic quality.
