Calder - Galleria del Naviglio

25 x 37 cm
Rare original lithographic poster for Alexander Calder's solo exhibition at Galleria del Naviglio in Milan, April 1956. Iconic composition featuring the characteristic organic Calder forms—a large yellow boomerang shape, a red-orange oval, and a black disc—visually anticipating the celebrated mobiles of the American artist. Printed by Graf. Sorteni of Venice on behalf of the historic gallery of Carlo Cardazzo, epicenter of Italian post-war avant-garde. Copy in good condition with brilliant colors and only minor signs of age. Significant document for both Calder collectors and scholars of the Milanese art system of the 1950s.
