G. Ponti Couple of Vintage Milk Pitchers, 1940

Height: 10 cm Width: 8,5 cm Depth: 14 cm
Couple of fine Silver-plated metal milk jugs from the 1940s.
The jugs are clearly in patina for their age, but this is what makes them a must for collectors.
Jugs are jugs suitable as milk containers, for a good, high-class breakfast.
They have a round base that supports the central body, which is much thicker. Under the rim there is a spout suitable for pouring the drink. Its sleeve is wide and thin so that it can support the pitcher even if it is heavy. From the sleeve starts the mechanism that allows the protective cap to close the carafe, or to open it, using a geometric handle at the top.
The jugs are suitable for gallant and important events, or to be displayed in collector's cabinets.
